The Factory helper is attached to the spacer and main leaf spring stack with two long bolts. This makes it difficult to install when replacing leaf springs as you have to clamp the main stack together, remove the center bolts, get a longer center bolts, put the new center bolts through the main stack, spacer and helper spring and then tighten down the center bolts.
With this spacer block system you can simply place it on the main set of springs, put the supplied bolts in your helper spring and put that on the block to align it saving lots of time and frustration. If you ever need to take your springs apart later to replace the helper or main stack it will be much easier compared to one center bolt running through the main stack, block and helper.
